Club Congratulates New NYSSA President

The Chittenango Polar Bears Snowmobile Club was proud to hear that their very own founding member, Mike Fischer, was recently elected as President of the New York State Snowmobile Association (NYSSA).  Mike has worked tirelessly from the beginnings of our Club to the present.  His enthusiasm and perseverance will serve the NYSSA membership very well.  In fact on his first day on the job he was already diving deep into the details of a million dollar sweep of the snowmobile registration funds.  We congratulate Mike on this tremendous accomplishment and wish him well in his new position.

Club plans for Oz Parade

The Club plans to enter a float in the annual Oz Parade on Saturday May 31st, 2008.  We hope to display our Groomer and Snowmobile(s).  Club members are encouraged to march with our entry.  There is additional information available on the Club website at www.chittenangopolarbears.com

Club wraps up the 2007-2008 Season

The Chittenango Polar Bears Snowmobile Club successfully completed another season.  This past season saw the club clear additional local trails and build many new bridges.  A difficult ascent near the Bolivar Road/Erie Canal intersection was redesigned and relocated which greatly improved the trail gradient.  In addition the Club finally received approval of their trail expansion application for more miles of local trails to the East of Chittenango.  The plans are underway to clear and sign this section for next season.  We hope for major snow next season and look forward to seeing you on the Trails!

Club Meeting and End of Season Banquet

The next Club meeting is Sunday May 18th at Delphia’s Restaurant, 236 Genesee St., Chittenango, at 7:00 pm.  There will be an end of season buffet and awards ceremony following the meeting.  There is additional information available on the Club website at www.chittenangopolarbears.com or at 315-420-2653
